Giangi Pezzotti

Giangi Pezzotti (Italy, Crema -CR- 1963) painter, engraver, sound composer. Present for years on the national and international exhibition scene with personal and collective exhibitions, and in public and private collections.
“Priest of the brush” moves like a shaman in a magical universe in a perennial and intense philosophical, spiritual and existential search. Beauty arises from the contrast between a symbolic, primordial spatiality and the figurative and naturalistic forms that inhabit it. His painting documents the traces of a sort of journey into the transcendent to discover the primordial part of man. The artist brings together on the pictorial level symbolic forms and archetypal images that belong to the historical-cultural heritage of humanity and which here have the appearance of apparitions.
