Sigurd Wendland was born in 1949. In 1969-80 he studied painting in Cologne and Berlin. He presented his works at many exhibitions throughout Europe<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artist selects models from his circle of friends and acquaintances. These are representatives of various environments. Psychological portraits painted in a realistic way focus on faithful representation of the face and hands – the main mirror of a person’s interior. The nudity of the portrayed people says much more about the spirituality of the portrayed than about their physicality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
